Bellingham's Tallship Celebrates Centennial

Bellingham's own resident tallship, the Schooner Zodiac, celebrated it's centennial birthday this last Sunday. The ship and organization held an event at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal to highlight the last 100 years of sailing, and the tremendous amount of work that was put into the vessel by Captains Tim & Calen Mehrer and the dedicated force of volunteers that have helped restore, maintain, and sail the vessel.

Pump It Proper

Download the free Pumpout Nav app via the website linked below!

Summer season is gearing up, and as you head out into the San Juans, about Bellingham Bay or down sound, don't forget to properly dispose of your waste tanks.

WA Sea Grant leads an outreach and education program called "Pumpout Washington" that gives both recreational and professional vessel operators all the information you need to find a station and pump out safely. Their interactive map will show locations of active pumpout stations, and coming soon, they'll have live-tracking that monitors the locations of mobile pumpout vessels.

Discharging untreated waste from tanks is illegal in Puget Sound, so make sure to check out the Pumpout Washington website below, and as we look forward to a safe and fun sailing season, let's get pumped!
